Description: Delaware’s Young Farmer Loan Program provides a 30-year, no-interest loan to qualifying individuals to help them purchase a farm. One of the requirements of this loan program is that the farm is placed in a permanent Agricultural Lands Preservation Easement.
Description: The Forestlands for DALPF include Forest Areas which are 10 year preservations and Forest Easements which are permanent Forestland preservations for which the development rights have been purchased by the State.
Description: The Agricultural Preservation Districts are properties enrolled in the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation program. Qualifying parcels are designated as either a District (200 acres or more) or an Expansion (less than 200 acres) to a district. These properties are preserved from development for 10 years with the option to renew. If the owner sells the property's Development Rights to the State, the area is then designated as an Easement, indicating that the area is permanently preserved.
